Total lunar eclipse, August 28th. Six shots taken over about two hours. The next good eclipse will be in December 2010.

A Triumph

A different sort of holiday - fly back to New Zealand and start assembling my Triumph Herald coupe from the parts I've hoarded over the years, and mail-ordered while away working.

Basically, it's a 1961 Triumph Herald with the 948cc 4 cylinder engine replaced by a 3.5L Rover V8, and with the suspension and brakes upgraded to suit. By the end of next year, it'll hopefully be fully assembled and painted.

Photoshoppery

Been having fun revisiting some old photos, and playing with them in Photoshop. The Buller River photo was always spoilt by some power cables right in the middle - all gone. Not that Photoshop can take the place of proper composition...

The car shot is just for fun. The red hasn't been enhanced - in the original colour version it doesn't look too bright.
